5 Seconds of Summer, also known as 5SOS, is an Australian pop-punk band that formed in 2011. They first gained recognition when they toured with One Direction in 2014, and released their debut album as well that year. Recently, they released a single called “No Shame” that has gained them even more recognition.

“No Shame” is the third song they have released from their album, “CALM”, that will be released on March 24th. “No Shame” is about the downsides of fame, and how famous people sometimes do anything to get more attention from the media.

The message of the song gives it a bit of a dark undertone, especially with lyrics such as, “Lay me in the palm of your hand. I’ll give you my permission. You’ll always be forgiven” Also the lyrics, “Love is fatal. Won’t you give it a chance? Center of attention. Don’t you ask me any questions.”

“No Shame” is a bit different from the other songs they have released for the upcoming album, “Easier and Teeth”. The song gives us a great sneak peak of other songs that will be on “CALM”. In addition, this song gives us an amazing image of the direction 5SOS will head next with their music.

The upbeat instrumental of the song gives a good contrast of lyrics. The instrumental also allows the song to sound lighter and happy if you don’t pay attention to the lyrics. The range in the lead singers voice allows you to hear the emotion of the song a lot clearer. No Shame is an overall great song and worth listening to.
