Amazing acts perform at 2019 talent show
April 22, 2019

The 2019 Highland High School talent show was hosted by sophomores Eddie Jania and Jack Banasiak, who routinely did comedy in-between acts.

The first act of the night was Take 6, who performed a cover of ‘Paranoid’ by Black Sabbath that rocked the audience!

Next up was junior Nevaeh Miranda, melodically singing ‘Don’t Rain on my Parade,’ as originally sung by Barbra Streisand.

Senior Maxwell Chanthyvong electrified the audience with a guitar solo titled ‘Hammer.’

Junior Taylor Wilson wonderfully sang ‘All I Want,’ by Kodaline.

Junior Andrew Fink emotionally sang ‘Next to Me,’ by Nick Wilson.

As the sixth act, junior Hayden Greathouse sang ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,’ as performed by Franki Valley and the Four Seasons.

Seventh on our list, Sophomore Ericah Dongu sang and played piano to an original piece by herself entitled ‘My Mistake.’

Up next was senior Ricardo Castillo, who made the audience laugh with comedy.

Junior Joseph Stanley spoke his mind with an original poem entitled ‘Cold World.’

Finally, senior Adrienne Valdez sang ‘You Are The Reason,’ by Calum Scott.

At the end of the night, Joseph Stanley, right, won third place; Andrew Fink, center, won second place; and Adrienne Valdez, left, won first place.
