Highland Trojans had a pretty intense game against the Munster Mustangs. These two schools have been rivals for years. The last time that Highland has won against Munster was in 2005. This season Highland has played a total of five games losing to Morton and Crown Point, but taking home a victory against Clark, Gavit, and now Munster.

The players and the student section started off the game with high hopes and good energy.

Before the game, junior Sam Perez said, “We have a pretty good shot at winning.”

With so much riding on this single game, senior Dean Foundos said that he was nervous, but would not let the nerves get the best of him.

After 13 years, Highland High School final took back the trophy. With a final score of 30-20, we beat Munster.

With the first quarter of the game, the Trojans were the first to score. The game started off good and only got better.

In the first quarter, the score ended with 14-6, putting the Highland Trojans in the lead. You could feel the excitement coming from everyone in the stands. Playing in a game like this, Highland did not let their guard down; victory was not ours just yet.

Going into the second half of the game, the score had jumped to 20-13. With Highland still in the lead, there was more confidence that we were going to end with a win.

With the game coming to an end, the Trojans took home a victory, with the final score being 30-20. Fans were going crazy and the team was so happy. We had finally beaten  Munster again.
