Fall Out Boy has a new sound with their latest album, “MANIA.” This is the first time Fall Out Boy has released music since “American Beauty American Psycho.” “MANIA” was originally supposed to be released on September 15, 2017, but it was postponed until January 19, 2018.

Patrick Stump, the lead singer of Fall Out Boy said, “I’m never going to put a record out I genuinely don’t believe is at least as strong or valid as the one that came before it.”

The band thought the record was not ready or strong enough yet, so a delay was the best option for them.

As “MANIA” finally came out, the songs were not a disappointment for fans. Fall Out Boy reinvented their sound with a more pop/modern genre, a sound unlike anything they have done in the past.

Not only is the sound different, but each song has an entirely different feeling too. The band decided to experiment with some electronic tones in ‘Young and Menace.’ There are upbeat songs on the album such as ‘Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea’ and ‘Hold Me Tight Or Don’t.’

Fall Out Boy also invaded their fans with emotional songs such as ‘Heaven’s Gate’ and ‘Wilson (Expensive Mistakes).’ The album in total was a rollercoaster from start to finish.

The lyrics in “MANIA” really hit home for a lot of listeners. Pete Wentz, the bassist and songwriter, filled the record with meaningful lyrics about his loneliness and low self-esteem. There are also many religious references in songs such as ‘Church’ and ‘Heaven’s Gate.’ These spiritual and profound lyrics get Fall Out Boy’s fans thinking hard and deep.

Fall Out Boy has also released a “MANIA” tour with their new album. The tour will start late summer 2018 and will contain “MANIA” songs as well as older songs. With the new album, the tour, and many more memories with the band, Fall Out Boy has really proved critics and the media with their successful songs.
